The Burgos Group is a global professional services organization.  As professional business and financial consultants we help our clients solve complex business problems and aim to enhance their ability to build value, manage risk, and improve performance. We conduct business within the framework of applicable professional standards, laws, and regulations together with BG policies and standards.  Our Code of Conduct & Ethics Policies has been structured to follow the rules and policies established by leading industry organizations and association groups, e.g.:








We acknowledge that these standards, laws, regulations and policies do not govern all types of behavior.  As a result, we also have a Code of Conduct for our firm.   We  are committed to working with professionalism and will adhere to the highest ethical standard as we provide services to clients, our colleagues, and the public.
 
Our commitment to our clients
To serve our clients with integrity, competence, independence, objectivity, and professionalism.
To mutually establish with our clients realistic expectations of the benefits and results of our services.
To only accept assignments to which we possess the requisite experience and competence to perform and will only assign staff or engage colleagues with the knowledge and experience needed to serve our clients effectively.
Before accepting any engagement, we will ensure that we have worked with or clients to establish a mutual understanding of the objectives, scope, work plan, and fee arrangements.
To treat appropriately all confidential client information that is not public knowledge, to take reasonable measures to prevent this information from access by unauthorized individuals., and will not take advantage of the proprietary or privileged information, either for use internally, or by another client, without the expressed permission of the client.
To avoid conflicts of interest or the appearance of such and will immediately disclose to the client circumstances or interests that we believe will influence our judgment or objectivity.
To offer to withdraw from a consulting engagement when we believe our objectivity or integrity may be impaired.
To refrain from inviting an employee of an active or an inactive client to consider alternative employment without prior discussion with the client.
 
Our Commitment to Fiscal Integrity
To agree in advance with a client on the basis for fees and expenses  and will charge fees that are reasonable and commensurate with the services delivered and the responsibility accepted.
To will not accept commissions, remunerations, or other benefits from a third party in connection with the recommendations to a client without that prior client’s knowledge and consent, and will disclose in advance any financial interests in goods or services that form part of such recommendations.
 
Our Commitment to the Public and the Profession
If within the scope of the engagement, we will report to appropriate authorities within or external to the client organization any occurrences of malfeasance, dangerous behavior, or illegal or illicit activities.
To respect the rights of consulting colleagues and consulting firms and not use their proprietary information or methodologies without permission.
To represent the profession with integrity and professionalism in my relations with our clients, colleagues, and the general public.
To not advertise our services in a deceptive manner nor misrepresent or denigrate individual consulting practitioners, consulting firms, or the consulting profession.
